This Thursday, June 7, is the "Meet & Greet" meeting with Captain Sullenberger. All invited, no membership required. You do not have to be a COSTCO member to attend or to buy his book. 

Captain Sullenberger, who safely landed his US Airways plane on the Hudson River in New York on Jan 15, 2009 and saved 155 lives, has kindly agreed to "meet and greet" our Goa Sudharop supporters, well-wishers, volunteers and friends/family this Thursday, June 7, 2012, at 6:30pm.

Captain Sullenberger is an American hero, and has been honored by the US Congress, the US President, etc. He is working on airline safety and medical safety issues now and has just released his second book "Making a Difference: Stories of Vision and Courage from America's Leaders". He will personally sign your copy of his book (available at the COSTCO store) and also take a group photo with our Goa Sudharop group.

Property Tax and Us

Dear all,

The residents of Mumbai are concerned, apprehensive and agitated about the passing of the proposed Property Tax rules in their present form.

People are outraged, at the unjust taxing system that has been passed by the Standing Committee, without giving them an opportunity, to express their views. Certain pertinent points viz Charging on Built up area, against Carpet area, charging on floor rise, niche parking, luxury tax, and worst of all the 'never heard of '  tax being collected with retrospective effect!

In view of the above, the H West Ward Federation  and the ALMANAC group of M (East and West) Wards have come together to discuss this complex issue and present the peoples’ views about the same.

Adv. Ashish Shelar- our guide on this issue

Adv. Uday Warunjikar - will present some  legal aspects

Rahul Shewale - MCGM Standing Committee Chairman - will present the MCGM position

We are trying to get some of the concerned MCGM officials to attend and address the issue too.

Bombay Catholic Sabha Inter Parish Footcom tournament Schedule

The Bombay Catholic Sabha Inter Parish Footcom tournament,  a professional tournament, with talented team players of extraordinary caliber and played under the supervision of FIFA referees and playing under FIFA rules comes alive once again form 3^rd June 2012. The 24 teams that will be playing on a knock out basis will be playing at two grounds on 3^rd June 2012.

The draw for the Bombay Catholic Sabha Inter Parish Footcom 2012 was held on 30^th April 2012 and was attended by the 24 teams captains, managers and team mates. The matches will be played at two venues – MSSA Ground, Dhobi Talao and Don Bosco Ground, Borivali. The draw is as under –
